Community meal & market

In the City, For the City

Matthew 25:35 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in…”

Community Meal & Market

2nd & 4th MONDAYS 6-8PM
There’s a place for you at the table ! Twice a month, we gather to share a meal, build meaningful relationships, and make sure everyone leaves with what they need for the week ahead. Our Community Meal & Market is more than a food pantry—it’s a rhythm of belonging, care, and connection that continues to grow.

Join us on the 2nd & 4th Mondays | 6:00–8:00 PM
What the evening looks like:
  • 6:00 PM – Community Meal
Come as you are and enjoy a warm, welcoming dinner. Everyone is invited and dinner is provided at no cost. This is a way that we like to host and bless the city!
  • 6:00 PM – Market Opens
Shop the market at your own pace, choosing from fresh produce, pantry staples, and personal care items that best fit your needs. If you prefer to come only for groceries, you are invited to do just that! Whatever is helpful for your week.

Throughout the evening, you can also find:
  • Resource Connections – Access helpful local services and community partners
  • Prayer & Care – Receive prayer or encouragement if you’d like

For Our Guests
Whether you come every time or you’re visiting for the first time, you belong here. Bring your family, bring a friend, or come on your own—we’re ready to welcome you. The Community Meal & Market is about more than groceries. It’s a place to meet neighbors, build community, and start the week with a lighter load.

Life gets full—whether you’re heading to or from activities, looking to share a meal, or ready for a night where dinner is taken care of, we’d love to serve you.

If groceries would be helpful, you’re invited to shop through our market during the evening.

For Those Who Want to Serve
This community is built together, and there’s a place for you in it. From cooking meals to hosting tables, stocking the market to offering prayer—every role helps create a space where people feel seen, known, and cared for.

We also invite volunteers to share in the meal. This isn’t only about serving—it’s about being part of the community.
Volunteers are welcome to access the market for pantry staples. Connect with the registration host and plan to shop before leaving for the evening.

Sign up to serve HERE! We believe simple things—like a shared meal and a thoughtful conversation—can change lives. We hope to see you soon!

COMMUNITY RESOURCES

"In the City, for the City!" is the phrase you will hear us use often to communicate where we focus our mission. In its simplicity, it communicates purpose, mission, location and hope. The City of Delaware should be a better place because the Delaware City Vineyard exists. And yet...We know that we are one part of the big picture and we are able to care for our City through partnering and featuring other places and space of care.
